Event :Inter school district level championship, Utsaha was held at college campus.
At ACEM, a thriving and vibrant culture is made up of eclectic mix of performances, festival, events and cultural studies that showcase a diverse range of creative disciplines at their best. The college was the proud host of the event “Utsaha” 2015 an exciting Inter school football, volleyball and basket ball championship. 60 schools and more than 700 students enthusiastically participated and competed in a variety of different track and field events. The objective behind organizing such an event was to promote the numerous benefits of sports for children; sports contribute towards the holistic development of children as they help promote good health, comradeship and spirit of friendly competition. Through these games we are motivating, enthusing and inspiring young people across the country to take part in more competitive school sports. It had been a day of high emotions as children ran and jumped in a series of hard fought events. The Manav Rachna took the top spot in boys’ football team, with the Bansi Vidya Niketan being the runner up. The best player Atul was from D.A.V. In a highly charged volleyball competition in girls’ category, AVN clinched the top spot. Sangeeta Adhana from the same school was awarded the best player, while Aravali International School settled as a second runner up. The D.A.V school, sector- 49 was the winner in the boys’ volleyball category while the D.A.V sector-14 earned the second place. Aakash Nagar was judged the best player. Manav Rachna sector-14 ended earning first place finishes in Boys basketball teams, while the Bansi Vidya niketan was second runner up. Despite persevering through hours of competition and giving their best against other teams, Apeejay School walked away with the first place in boys soccer category and the DAV sec-14 with the second spot. All teams trained hard prior to the event and everyone truly admire the spirit, focus and energy they displayed throughout the competition. It was a fantastic day of sport, the students and staff from the schools had been great. The management and the director thanked volunteers who have been brilliant running the events with great enthusiasm and vigor. The event proved to be a great success and the competition concluded with the winners being bestowed with trophies, medals and certificates. The 50 coaches and close to 15 referees and students from various schools of Faridabad, who participated in the event were gratified with watches and T-shirts as souvenirs.
