Are Aptitude Tests a passing fad OR need of the hour???

Aptitude Test was developed during World-War-I by Carl Brigham. It was first used in the recruitment of Army called Army Alpha, later on as college admission test.
Aptitude is Knowledge + Attitude
Aptitude is nothing without the correct attitude. It all starts where attitude meets aptitude. Aptitude is needed in self directing ability to set and achieve goals, in self learning ability to accept change & in self motivation for problem solving. Aptitude empowers knowledge & helps in realizing vision and building career. Some of Aptitude Tests are Arithmetic Aptitude, Logical Reasoning, Verbal & Non Verbal Reasoning, Personality etc. Aptitude Testing is important as it increases the confidence, brings more alertness, increases competitive ability and helps in thinking logically. These Aptitude Tests are used in Jobs/competitive exams, for professional courses, career guidance, school academic life & also, in hiring suitable employee by the employers. Some of the skills required in the industry & corporate sector these days are complex problem solving skills, people management, critical thinking, service orientation, judgement and decision & cognitive flexibility. But the students these days are lacking in many aspects and that is why they are not job ready. Therefore it is important to focus on data context , project based learning and time management. Thus, only degree is not good enough for future jobs. Aptitude Tests are the need of the hour & the weapon to seal success.
